Santa Baby

I have a Santa Claus frame that needed a picture of Ella in her Santa dress so we had a mini-photo shoot this morning. Couldn't help but to share a couple of pics. :-)

All I Want for Christmas are My Bottom Teeth..

Ella's toofers are really starting to show up (notice them in the picture)! You can really see them when she smiles. I think she might be working on a couple more because she's wanting to gnaw on things and is a little cranky so I'm on the lookout for another one to pop up shortly.

Yay!!!

Well, I've officially taken my last picture...with my Rebel XT that is because my new Canon 40D arrived today. I'm so excited! I am selling my Rebel to my dad in hopes that he will become a camera geek like me. Now, I'm off to take some pics of my little model with my new camera. Yippee! :-)

Christmas Decor

We got into the Christmas spirit this weekend and got the inside and outside of the house decorated. Ella was a great little helper. She really liked the beaded garland. We had no idea how much more time it would take to decorate this year with a little one around. We're really having to watch her around the tree because she's enjoying pulling on the bottom branches.

I also decided to torture her with the santa hat...she tolerated it for a little while and then wanted it off of her head!

The Iron Bowl

We went to Sonya and Jerri's to watch the Iron Bowl on Saturday. I'm sad to say for Keith's sake, that Alabama didn't pull through this year. But, we had a great time watching the game with friends regardless. Bea and Jill were there with the newest member of our family of friends, Elliot. What a precious blessing he is!

Fried Turkey...Yum

Our first fried turkey was a total success! Except for the fact that Charlie ate a bunch of the excess oil afterwards and has thrown up 4 times so far in our family room. Yuck. But, the turkey was delish! Keith and my dad did an excellent job with the seasoning and injections and the turkey came out crispy on the outside and super tender inside. A great thanksgiving feast! We hope everyone else had a wonderful day too. Here's a couple of pictures from yesterday.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from our little turkey!

We made place cards for our Thanksgiving table the other night and Ella wanted the yarn that went on them sooo bad. She was my little helper.

New Blanket

Great-Grams sent a blanket that she crocheted for Ella and we tried it out this morning. So soft and comfy! Ella enjoyed rolling around on it...I could hardly keep her still to snap a couple of shots. She is so close to crawling...but, she is really showing a lot of interest in pulling up now so that is distracting her.

Toofers

I finally got a picture of Ella's two new teeth. They are sharp as a razor!

Mountain Man

Keith has a beard! Everybody is giving him a hard time about it, but I kind of like it! Also, while he was in Tucson, AZ last week, he met up with a high school buddy and they went hiking. They came across a rattlesnake only a couple of feet away from the trail they were on. Scary!

New Aquarium

Sonya gave me a 1.5 gallon aquarium for my birthday and we went this weekend to pick out fish. I got a little pink one, Keith got a little bit bigger yellow one, and Ella got a little African frog (you have to look really hard to see it in the picture). I didn't realize how much I would enjoy watching them swim around the tank. They're relaxing!

Baby Einstein and Miss Emily

Keith flew back in from Tucson, AZ this evening so Ella and I headed up to B'ham to pick him up. We took the opportunity to visit the Stinsons and meet little Miss Emily while we were up there. What a doll! I can't believe Ella was that little only 5 months ago...time flies! After we got Keith at the airport, we went to eat at P.F. Changs. Ella wanted to eat a lettuce wrap SOO bad, but she had to settle for mushed sweet potatoes instead.

Here's a couple pictures from earlier this week. Ella loves her DVDS, she sure does!

Wishful Thinking

Oh how I wish I could play outside in the great wide open...
By the way, I forgot to mention that Ella has a 2nd tooth coming in right beside the first one. She's going to have a mouthful of teeth before too long!

Doctor Visit

Ella had her 6 month check-up today. She weighed in at 15lb. 15oz (50th percentile), 27in. (90th), and 163/4 head circumference (50th). So she's slimmed down quite a bit from last time (weight was previously in the 70th percentile). But, no worries, Dr. Trumbull said that is completely normal and exactly what she's supposed to do. She only had to get one shot and took it like a champ; no tears just a little squeal of protest.

Also, I know everyone is tired of seeing the eating pictures, but I fed Ella sweet potatoes this morning and she loved them! She got them EVERYWHERE and was very proud of herself. Just wanted to share.

Rockin' and Rollin'

Ella is getting the itch to move. She's getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth which they say is the beginning of crawling. My parents said I just skipped the crawling and went straight to walking and I think Keith did about the same so we'll see with Ella. She's been getting around pretty well by rolling so she may just stick with that for awhile. I love watching her progress.

PS - I know this isn't going to be a hit with a certain Aunt of mine, but I'm going to start posting pictures of Ella on her website only once a month instead of every week. I'll try to be really good about posting pictures on the blog though.

6 month pics

We had the opportunity to take a couple of pictures of Ella this morning. I'm starting to run out of ideas for pictures, so if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to share them with me! As usual, Ella was a great little model.
