Where's Ella?

This is typically where you can find Ella in morning; snuggled up in our bed surrounded by pillows and blankets, sleeping like an angel. Her nighttime sleep is getting progressively better but she's still waking up around 5:30am in her crib, so she gets to spend a little cuddle time with mommy because that's a little bit too early of a wakeup call for me. I think I enjoy it more than she does! :-)

Ella is officially a growny

Ella is sitting up by herself now! She's been able to sit for a minute or 2 by balancing on her hands since 5 months, but just yesterday she started to sit completely unassisted. It's going to be a whole new world for her! I can't believe it.

Pumpkin Carving

Keith and I like to carve a pumpkin every year for Halloween and this year we were eager to get Ella in on the fun! We carved out a witch holding a pumpkin. Ella was fascinated by the candle but didn't seem to care too much for the carving. :-)

Quack Quack!

We did our "trick or treating" a little bit early this year and snapped a couple of pictures of Ella in her Halloween costume on Sunday evening. She made such an adorable duck! Quack Quack!

The Ring Sling

We went to the Holiday Market on Friday which is a fair that Montgomery has every year with lots of vendors selling a lot of Holiday merchandise, but also cute clothes and accessories, especially for children. I found a vendor selling "ring slings" which is a cloth sling that you can use to carry babies. After trying it on I was completely hooked! I wore it today to a Fish Fry we went to with my parent's Sunday School class and it was great! I wish I would have had one from the very beginning with Ella and I highly recommend it to anyone with a baby.

Ella loves her DVD player!

We went on a 9 hour car ride to Big Stone Gap, VA last week to visit family. Everybody said "you are so crazy for driving that long with a 5 month old" and we knew from our beach trip experience that we could be in for serious trouble! So we got Ella her very own portable DVD player which we found out that she LOVES! The ride up there and back was wonderful...I don't think Ella cried one time. Here's a video clip of her enjoying her entertainment.

New Blog!

Welcome to the Williams Family Blog! Instead of just updating Ella's journal with info about her, I've decided to try out a blog where I can post about activities that we're all involved in. Ella's website will stay the same, but I won't post in her journal anymore. I'll try to post with pictures as regularly as possible. Check back often! :-)
